LUC was commissioned in November 2024 to undertake a Landscape Sensitivity Assessment of the landscape surrounding key settlements (located within the Somerset Council Local Plan area) for new residential and commercial development. The outputs from this assessment provide Somerset Council with a robust evidence base to inform the appropriate scale and location of future development to minimise harm to the landscape and the setting of settlements.
