Somerset Landscape Sensitivity Assessment

This section outlines the approach to assessing landscape sensitivity for residential and commercial development. This Landscape Sensitivity Assessment was undertaken in accordance with the principles in Natural England’s ‘An approach to landscape sensitivity assessment – to inform spatial planning and land management’ (June 2019). The methodology draws on LUC’s previous extensive experience in landscape sensitivity studies and reflects the requirements of the project brief.
